Flights. Every leg is already nonstop or one stop on a full-service airline: JAL to Tokyo, Thai to Bangkok and to Paris, Bangkok Airways to Krabi, Vueling to Alicante, Iberia and American home. Kayak lists the same Thai flights a little lower (Krabi to Paris $512 vs $577, Osaka to Bangkok $198 vs $218). Air Canada via Montreal is $1,080 to Narita, but Haneda on JAL is worth the $180. Skyscanner is behind a robot wall and adds nothing Kayak does not show.
Order and dates. Alicante before Cannes was priced: Paris to Alicante $181, Alicante to Nice $101 to $167, Nice to Miami $463. Flights cost about the same, Cannes on weeknights is cheaper, but it adds a connection and loses the TGV. Kept as is. The Cannes film festival (11 to 22 May) and Roland-Garros week two fix the rest.
